Court Room Attire and Rules

COURT ROOM ATTIRE AND RULES

Before entering the court proceeding you will be screened for weapons and other illegal items.  Proper attire is required and cell phones or other electronic devices must remain quiet in the courtroom.

Appropriate attire shall be worn while in Court. Inappropriate attire includes tank tops, sleeveless shirts, crop shirts, shorts, sweatpants, lounge pants, pajamas, t-shirts depicting inappropriate photos or language.

Appropriate shoes shall be worn while in Court. Inappropriate shoes include flip flops, slippers and house shoes. Hats or caps must be removed while in the Courtroom. Violation of this prohibition will result in your case being placed on recall for one hour to give you time to change into appropriate clothing/shoes and return to court. Subsequent violations of this prohibition may be viewed by the Court as contempt, resulting in jail.

MOBILE DEVICES

MOBILE DEVICES MUST REMAIN QUIET IN THE COURTROOM. Violation of this prohibition will result in the mobile device being seized by the Bailiff.
